Across the bay, over a soaring bridge, lies the resort city of Coronado, featuring the iconic, luxurious red-roofed Hotel del Coronado, along with upscale shops and restaurants.

The San Diego Zoo is one of the most visited places in San Diego by people who are passing through. Inside Balboa Park, the zoo houses more than 3,500 animals of more than 650 species and subspecies.
